Introduction

In the 1950s, the Rat Pack ruled the billboards, the Beatles in the 1960s swept over America like a disease. Rock ruled the 1980s and Rap has dominated the airways since the 1990s. But what ever happened to the 1970s? The 1970s would become the funkiest age of music ever. Disco, a combination Soul, Funk, and Latin music, would combine and become the driving force behind the 1970s. An entire culture would spring up from this groovey music scene and woud even set the change the night club scene forever. Movies, fashion, language, and most importantly, music, would affect every person in America. Sadly, Disco fallen by the wayside and has become no more then a footnote in music history. This blog is here to educated those who want to know more about the forgotten era in American music and "...Play that funky music right..."(Wild Cherry's; Play that Funky music).
