Disco's Dead...or is it?

Many people believe that disco is dead. To the untrained eye, disco seems very much dead. But disco is very much alive. Many don't know that rap, techno, and house music are all direct descendant of the disco movement. The Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, and many early rappers were inspired by disco music and disco beats. The next time you listen to Kanye or Lil' Wayne, remember these artists come are the grandsons of disco.
All modern clubs are discotheque, though many have lost their style and changed their style. No longer are the days when people would spend just as much time getting ready to go to the club as they did waiting to get in. The disco ball no longer hangs from the rafters and the lighted floor is burnt out. Rapper flows over the speaker system. The one thing that has no changed, bumping and grinding is still a favorite dance move.
Fortunately, disco lives on in other parts of the world. Still popular in Europe and Asia. These places still keep the tradition alive with their disco showmanship and style. And when disco comes back to the United States, we will have Europe and Asia to thank for keeping it alive.
Disco is not dead, it is just resting until we will be able to enjoy its style, music, and extravgance again.
